Goblinmaster goblin conversions
« on: 08 August 2009, 06:36:57 PM »
Feast your eyes on these. Some goblin conversions the goblinmaster Kev Adams himself did for my private collection.  :froth:

The pictures don't do them justice as they have such ecquisite sharp detail in the flesh that one realises how much really gets lost in the translation to metal.

These are just tacked together, which is why the arms didn't stay on on the first one. It's a recent GW metal fanatic type model I stumbled upon by accident while buying paint.

A resin Fenryll goblin palanquin. Didn't like the original faces, but now it'll fit right in with my classic Kev Adams collection.  :D

He doesn't even charge much at all for these unique conversions.  8)

What was this before the conversions?  You've spoiled us with your usual 'before' and 'after' shots.

Well, I couldn't find a piccy of the goblins before the conversion (and I forgot to take one before shipping them off), but the GW ones are typical of the current GW goblin range.

As for the palanquin, the original looks like this:

Iwww, I can see why you felt the need to convert it.   :)

Neat stuff.  I like this idea of sending off to a professional sculptor for some conversion work (although you're pretty handy in that area, yourself).  I think it was Kev White who first offered a mini in one's own likeness, right?  Struck me as a brilliant idea, although perhaps other likenesses would be more attractive (and interesting).

Yeah, before I had this idea, I was considering to just put it up for sale.

Unless it's a nurgle figure of course.  ;)

Yes, Kev (Adams) has thought about offering this type of conversion service to the broader public as it's fun work to do in between full sculpts, but he doesn't have the time atm to set up a website for it. He'll do the work if you just contact him though (if you don't know where to find him, he's listed as "goblinmaster" at frothers).

I am deeply jealous.  That's an awesome and unique addition to your collection!
