Minairons Miniatures - a big shout out!

Just hours before New Year's Eve I placed an order with Minairons Miniatures. Along with the order, I sent Lluis a question. By gosh he responded to my question the next day, so I emailed him back, and he immediately sent a follow-up question. Any guy working this hard over the holidays deserves recognition of his efforts. (Too many retailers seem to take customer orders for granted these days, not Lluis.)

Well, my order arrived today, January 28th. Given the way postal systems seem to operate these days, and Covid, I think this is a very timely delivery from Spain to the U.S. Midwest. Also, the packaging inside and out was first rate.

As mentioned, this is my first order from Miniarons and here is my impression of the products (SCW figs and heads). The figures are nicely proportioned, not overly bulky (possibly a little slim for gaming figures, we'll see how they hold up over time) with good detail and very cleanly cast; with almost no flash and zero notable mold lines. The metal is only slightly on the harder side of the spectrum. Some detail on the figures might be more deeply cut (for painting purposes) but that is being picky. I do think quite a few of the poses are somewhat static where they could have been more dynamic. A minor comment given the overall quality.

I hope Minairons decides to expand their 20mm offerings... and not just for SCW. Moving back in time to something like RIF Wars or into the early days of WWII in North Africa, or possibly southern France, seems logical. I have to say, looking at the SCW Militia I can very easily envision French partisans in Marseille or Cretan partisans.

So, a big shout out to Lluis and Minairons!
