it was well done considering the budget. and somehow got Irving Welch and Clive Russell in it for 1 line and a death scene each.

I watched it last night, 3 of us started the movie but we suffered 66% casualties before it finished  :?

It is truly awful, but in a grindhouse "future cult classic" sort of way. The excessive gore is so OTT that (as intended) it becomes comedic, especially given the dubious quality of the special effects.
It is very much a 3D animated issue of "Our Army at War" or "Weird War" comics.
They clearly had huge fun making the movie and it joyfully hits every WWW2 trope apart from mecha, in fact doing so seems far more important than any actual storyline. The way they handle double barrel guns is brilliant and will no doubt become a feature of many game tables. Plus they have sexy Nazi chicks in skin tight leather uniforms (bearing an uncanny resemblance to certain Scarab Miniatures Projekt X figures)  ;D.

I enjoyed watching it, and will certainly do so again, but, the swearing in the script is off the chart. Variants of the word "f##k" are literally 50% of the entire contents of the script, for one of the most vocal characters closer to 90%. That is why I was the only one of the three of us to see the movie to the end.

If you like WWW2 gaming and OTT movies like this you will be in for a treat but it is absolutely not for general viewing.

This alone sounds like it's worth a look!  :D

I think they used so much prop blood that they ended up using tomato soup...
