I think this goes without saying, but if anyone has extras of these, please contact me ;)

I know that I'll never paint them up as well as Remgain did, but I'd really like to give it a go.

...

Maybe I'll get one or two boxes of plastic legionaires to play a simple skirmish, suitable for partecipation games.
But.. how can the Romans win?? :D

They can't. Maybe you set a time limit; if the Gauls haven't won by turn 6, the Romans 'win' (even if they're all unconscious by turn 8); or as Lowtardog suggested, the Romans get a point for each turn that can adopt a new battle formation uninterupted (extra points for a Tortoise, of course, everyone's favourite Roman formation); or just set some mathmatical formula like >10 Romans incapacitated each turn is a Victory Point for the Gauls, 10 or less is a Victory Point for the Romans.

Lovely painting and basing by the way. Very nice.

Same here, I have a few now and would like some more. Do we know who owns the copyright? Could Mr Orchmann be persuaded to make another production run, albeit limited?

Copyrighted characters, so if my copyright-law-fu is strong, you couldn't make a commercial set without permission from Les Editions Albert-René/Goscinny-Uderzo. Andrea Miniatures has the right to make "Asterix kits of figurines to be put together and painted", so maybe they could cast the metal magic stuff, but this would mean they need the molds of course.

If Mr Ochmann or Mr Immig still have the molds... Well... I wonder what would happen if someone accidentally poured metal, or perhaps resin into them. That would be a real shame  ;D

Friends, I can assure you that either me nor my friend Josef Ochmann own any Asterix moulds or Metal Magic / Spacelords / whatsoever moulds at all. When Hobby Products went out of business years ago, the owner sold most master miniatures to different companies, and the new owners made their own new moulds from them which is way better than just selling old moulds. I don't know if the Asterix range has also been sold, but I sincerely doubt that. This was a licensed range, and once this lizence ends, you're not allowed to sell anything to anybody. So don't expect a reappearance of the old Hobby Products Asterix range. Btw, the range was iniatially sold in boxes with 10 minis inside, and later in single blisters similar to the yellow Foundry ones.

I sold most of my own spares some time ago to collectors, some of them among this nice forum. I do own most of the Asterix minis one time each, and you need to offer very good prices to convince me into selling them ... :D

Don't know if Josef has some spares, just pm him, he is Bob da dowg here at the LAF.

And this is THE reference page on the web for all things Hobby Products, Metal Magic, Spacelords etc. related:

Hope I could help.  :)

After discussing the Asterix masters/moulds with Josef following the purchase of some Hyenas and Baboons from him at Obelix, it appears that the Asterix moulds were either destroyed or no longer available for licennsed production and he doesn''t have any spares.
