As an aside i got an email from Ant at BPG who informed me they intend on expanding them rage with a few more british atleast
On the lookout for 10mm Magister Militum Fantasy figures, halflings and woodelves in particular

Ok, figure arrived so promised picture showing a few height comparisons.



I did have a few Brigade Games minis but they were tiny.

Left to right, Front Rank, North Star, Black Pyramid, Perry Miniatures, Warlord Games, Tangent Miniatures.

My observations:-   These are obviously all Rifles.   Front Rank mini doesn’t work for me, I tend to look at the guns first for comparison as real soldiers vary in height, but their weaponry is standard.  His rifle is simply too short compared to the others.

The Warlord Games chap was a freebie with the Black Powder rule book, I’m not convinced he’s necessarily the same as their other metal rifles (he’s wearing a pack for one) but if he is, I like them.

My favourites are Perry miniatures which fit well with the North Star and I think with the Sharpe character.  The Tangent “Harper” is a bit taller, but tbh, he should be!

The Black Pyramid mini is slightly bent forward making him appear slightly smaller maybe, but his head is slightly bigger.  Personally I would have absolutely no problem playing him among this company.

Thank you very much for taking the time to take a scale comparison picture. Despite the shorter rifle on the Front Rank figure, I believe that they all scale well with each other and would use them together with all of the figures you have shown as I have figure from all those companies except the Trent figure. Thanks again. Now off to order some Black Pyramid Figures.

At six feet three (or four depending on what you read) Daragh O'Malley (Harper) is fairly well represented here me thinks.   Personally I will use him for this /Sharpe Practice.  I may have to add a backpack to him though me thinks.

Mine are metal but are definitely from 3d design.    They are a little “wooden” for my liking but every other Harper I’ve found has not been imposing enough for me.   I will just be using him.   All my other Rifles will be pretty much Perry.
