Supernatural shenanigans in the Peninsular
« on: February 27, 2022, 08:17:31 AM »
I have held off jumping feet first into yet ANOTHER project, but as I’m starting to discover, many of my projects are starting to benefit from cross overs (my 17c horrors have benefitted from me making a graveyard for my WW2, my jungle trees work equally well for Vietnam, pirates, etc) so I’m hoping here this might well cross over nicely with my ongoing  Peninsular collection, and spur me to paint more, including a batch of recently aquired Spanish buildings from Grand Manner.

Like all my other projects…this one may not achieve much for a while…..and then it may get a supercharged boost (here’s hoping! 😉).

As it happens, I received the Silver Bayonet starter set for Christmas, so I already have a rule book and bunch of figures.  My problem was being a little underwhelmed  with possible evil opponents.

Until I just came across this female vampire, Madame du Nuit.

I love this figure!

I found it looking in at Black pyramid Games, and also, this Major S, vampire hunter

I like the idea of a few chosen men, led by this fellow being tasked with the mission.

So, I’m waiting on delivery of these two, and then I may start painting a few Naps
and wait to see where this may take me…

Always go with the flow (of the paint).
If it is fun & you're enjoying it...keep going. :)

Hi Digits;
How well do the Black Pyramid Games figures match up to the Silver Bayonet figures? Could you take a picture as those figures really look cool!! Thank you in advance.

She's a beauty!  I would so match her with an honor guard of Revanants in the uniform of the same hussar regiment. Maybe 3rd Hussars (grey with red lace, boots, and (for her) blood stains...).

They paint up really easily. the onlt difference in scale i can see is the heads are slightly bigger than the perry ones, but since i've been head swapping most of mine with oathmark/frostgrave plastic heads they match up fine

Kikuchiyo...could you elaborate a bit more on the height and build difference...please!! I bought some Napoleonic era  peninsular armed monks from a company several years ago but they are 2/3 the size of Front Rank figures so I never used them. I may try to convert yhem to goblins for Silver Bayonet.  If the Black Pyramid figures can match 5he Silver Bayonet which go well with Front Rank figures I would be very happy to add those to my game as they look like amazing figures.

As soon as it arrives, I will picture alongside 95th rifles from warlord, Perry, front rank and Silver Bayonet so plenty of comparisons.

I think Digits pictures will be of most help

I kniw I would be interested in seeing the perry next to the northstar, I have a feeling the Northstars will be closer to these.

As for the front rank I think they will be a closer match build wise to the newer packs, but i don't have any to judge - I'm just guessing from the pictures I've seen of Front Rank against Perry

Here are mine against more Perry but unhelpfully with Frostgrave Barbarian heads :D

Any plans for a certain wizard attached to Wellington's entourage?  ;)
