Swamp?

As soon as I have completed my pulp trainstation (maybe sometime during 2010...) I consider to build a....swamp! Whats pushing me (almost) over the edge is the Seminole wars. But the question is if I should invest a lot of hours for that particular period only. So, please help me to find other good reasons to build a 100 x 60 cm swamp!! Any suggestions most welcome!

How about a pulp style Swamp Thing or lost artifact (large snakes and gators), or a post apoc "hillbilly havoc" (think Deliverance), or maybe a Classic (haitian) zombie throw down? Werewolves on the moors? Dino hunters in a lost world? Hope that helps give you ideas...

Fantasy application? Have some illegal booze production/trafficking possibly including some unspeakable horror from the swamp? "Creature from the Black Lagoon"?

There's a good Cthulhu scenario with New Orleans police going in to the swamp to stop human sacrifice to Cthulhu creatures.

Lots of monster movie potential as well - giant snakes, giant eels, giant leeches, gators, zombies

What about Vietnam and/or WW2 Pacific ops?

The Building Something Contest is done so.....back to the Swamp....

I realise that I need something that the seminoles can hide behind when they are sneaking up on the pale faces. Is there model "swamp trees" available somewhere? Anything else that can be used to break the line of sight on my swamp board?
Any ideas are welcome!
