Nice work.  Really like the SC Provincials - a different unit than oft seen.

Lovely work

The South Carolina  Provincials came out of a chat Harvey and I had a little while back. He was looking for a Provincial regiment with a different look from the usual blue/red, green/red etc. and was hoping for buff facings. I suggested SC, due to the buff coloured waistcoats and round cuffs, and that I had occasionally thought the militia pack he mentioned above would make a good representation of that unit - or 5 out of 6 of them that is - the 6th one (firing) having "cuff flaps" rather than round cuffs, would require more work or better still, could find employment among the militia.  ;)

The resulting unit, I think, is one of the nicest I've seen  :-* - great work mate, and setting them and the Settlers Defending against your superb scratch-built cabins moves them up another notch or two.  8)

Cheers,
Lance

Nice work!

Thank you  :)

Great job Harvey  8)

Very dapper, those South Carolina provincials  :-*

Thank you, Richard.

I don’t think the original Provincials stayed “dapper” for very long - from the little I have read, Howarth’s Regiment (Buffs) were “very Ragged and Complain much of the Cold and look with Envy on the new warm Cloaths of their Brother Soldiers.” as reported by Captain John Stuart at the end of 1759 …

Lance - thank you for your very kind comments and providing the opportunity for getting these painted. A pair of #6’s are working hard in the militia   lol

It’s a fascinating period of history, and some of the skirmishes in the back woods were quite small scale. My interest has has been broadened by reading and researching the various building and fortifications constructed on the different frontiers.

As Lance says “go for it”.

Great looking figs and building! I like when people pick out different units than the standard, as well.

Lovely work Harvey! Lance's sculpts are always lovely, and your brushwork is beautiful.

Really enjoy your homestead as well.
