Border Miniatures Moulds
« on: April 21, 2023, 10:13:06 PM »
Don't suppose anyone here knows if any other company ever acquired the moulds for Pete Armstrong's old large scale sculpts after his winding down of Border Miniatures some years ago? They were absolute works of art and no one else really nailed British mediaeval subjects the way he did.

Apologies, mods, if this should be elsewhere (and I know at that scale they're not really gaming models, but this seemed like the best pool of knowledge on the interwebs to ask...)
Proudly not painting Wars of The Roses since... ever

I think they're long gone Iain. I could be wrong; I hope I am!

Have you tried contacting the address in the series of Border Miniatures campaign books? That's about all I can think of that would  be helpful mate.

Aye, cheers mate, thought as much. I did ping him an emsil years ago, not long after he wound Border down, but never got a reply.

Are You looking for specific figures?

This German retailer seems to have a handful still available:

Ahhh, that's interesting! Sadly, it's the earlier, 14th century figs I'm after, but good to know some of the figures are still available (even if postage from Germany might be pricey), thanks for that!
