First Battletech Alpha Strike Game

Tried Alpha Strike for the first time at the local club by running it for two people who have never played any form of Battletech before. Both enjoyed the game and want to try it again and I found it so much quicker than the standard game but with the same feel which is great.
We had sixteen mechs on the table, Kell Hounds vs my own homebrew House Kurita force known as the 47 Ronin. It ended up as a win for the Hounds.

Did you use the starterbox rules, or the "full rules" from the hardback book?

Thanks  Mainly the starter box rules but I had the full rulebook on my phone to look at as well because we had a few indirect firing mechs and to help clarify a few things.
