Mohawks and Other Woodland Warriors

And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Excellent read.

However, I noted that you failed to mention Chingachgook in your essay.  ;)

Thanks for posting. Interesting stuff.
As to your comment that 'Native' (Rebels & Patriots) is better suited to Jacobites
of the 45...Vodkafan & I came to the same conclusion for our modifications to
R&P for the 45.

Really interesting (there was an article in a recent Lard Magazine redressing First Nation bods play style in their game Sharp Practice as they had similar issues) and is a much more reasonable portrayal in my eyes.

Thank you for posting,

If you really wish to understand Indian warfare in the NorthEast, I urge you to read Allan Eckert's wonderful series of books on the Opening of America. It's a 6 volume set that covers the Indian wars from pre F&I War up until the opening of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
The books are outstanding, easy reads. I cannot recommend these enough.
Read the first book and you'll be hooked.

I have read them all. He does maximize enemy losses and minimize Indian losses, but still an excellent read.
I have a book review coming in a bit, recently read Cozzens' book about Andrew Jackson and the Creeks. A sad tale.
