Team Yankee Question

Hello,

A generic question to the Team Yankee players.  I am flipping through the NATO forces book and unlike the AK47 teams many of the infantry units  do NOT have the note that says "ROF 1 when pinned".

This means have a constant ROF of 2 holding/Standing/Pinned.

This is weird to me as pinning and assaulting is a "must" do from my FOW 3rd Ed.  experience.  I wonder if I am missing a special rule somewhere in the main rule book. 

Does this not make assaulting NATO fire teams very dangerous.  It is easy for them to get 5 hits to stall the assaults?
