Run for the Hills! a 10mm TMWWBK battle...

Managed to get in a game of The Men Who Would Be Kings tonight. Rather than singly mounted 28mm figures, the 20mm round bases have multiple 10mm figures on them. The scenario was "Run for the Hills", where a British force was tasked with making it to the other side of the table. A larger Zulu horde would be coming from both sides to stop them.







The British valiantly survived (barely) but lost the battle in terms of victory points. It was the first time my gaming buddy and I played TMWWBK so we may have missed things but we had fun! More pics and storyline here: https://lecoqfou.blogspot.com/2024/05/tmwwbk-run-for-hills.html

Oh now that's a clever way to play TMWWBK.  It looks fantastic with that basing.  Did you use standard movement and shooting ranges, or cut it by half to match the figs?

Looks great - I made a start on a similiar project, but got a bit stalled on painting all the Zulus.

We played with standard ranges - this is my standard approach with ‘28mm games’ played with 10mm figures. Mostly the ranges are far more geared to the table size than the figure size.

Thanks gents, I played with the rules as written and kept original measurements for shooting and movement. The distances looked right with the 10mm figures.
