Parboiled Head (yummy)
« on: 29 June 2024, 05:56:08 PM »
I mentioned this rule set - properly titled Then Set My Parboiled Head Upon a Stake - several months ago in a thread about 17th century rules, which I can’t now find. (I’m reasonably sure it was started by Friends of General Haig who has a blog, the title of which escapes me, which includes an annotated list of such rules).

Much to my surprise, my long-standing search for this long-OOP item on eBay has now borne fruit, though due to the price and location purchasing it is not feasible.

What may be of interest from the point of view of updating FoGH’s list is that this is not in fact a set of miniatures rules as I had assumed, but a strategic board game of Montrose’s campaign in 1644-45 and therefore should not actually be included in the list of miniatures rules.

Edit: on reflection a better heading might have been ‘Fries with that?’
