For Sacred Band,
I was thinking Victrix Hypaspists with Punic heads/helmets?

That would work maybe mixed in with heavy/well equipped hoplites.

The Agema Metal Sacred band figures are great but set of 6  with 2  repeats of  3 unique sculpts only...
And 3  nice  Sacred Band Command figures.

The two on the right look like head swaps would be relatively simple but would they have had long sleeves?

Tim
For Sacred  Band there are few Viable options.
I had not thought about the Macedonian Hypaspists , good thinking , and they may work at a push .
However they are not equipped in Metal armour , raher Linothorax , which is not what you want .
How many figures are you after ???
I may have a left field option .
Let me know
Cheers

Cheers,

I’ll probably go with a small phalanx of 18.
Yes, metal armour may look better, hence the idea of the Crusader models.
There are metal armoured Victrix hoplites, but not a full set.
So that could get expensive.

Apparently there was Hellenistic influence leading to some representations showing short sleeves, but I like the long sleeved look just to differentiate them from Greeks. (Not the hardest of conversions to add the sleeves I suppose...)

Just put an Early Carthaginian Army on the table late this year and used a lot of Aventine Successor figures for the Carthaginians. Along with bits from Foundry for the chariots and Numidians.

Sacred Band suggestion would be a pack called Suc09 with Carthie heads. Have added a few photos and will see if I have more to hand later. I also used Aventine light foot for various skirmishers and their Italian Hill Tribes for Campanians.

Thank you. Keith at Aventine is really helpful and should be able to provide you with Carthaginian heads if you ask. I quite like having all the same pose to rank up on the base but variation in the heads. Worst case hit me up as I am pretty sure I have leftover carthie heads......
