Don't be silly - that is clearly an astronomy book, and the hand gesture suggests he is explaining parallax...

Beautifully done!

I have this miniature, purchased from Harwood before it moved to Crooked D.  He is, of course, Dr Julian Karswell from Night of the Demon

With some relatively minor conversion work, he could be rocking out behind a glockenspiel.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Apparently the complementary Magnus Pyke figure was received poorly and never released. Pity, twas meant to be the start of the Great British 20th C Eccentrics, along with Somerset Maugham, Spike Milligan and Screaming Lord Sutch.

Another CD figure to add to my next order list.

How bad was the Magnus Pyke figure? That seems like a great list to have figure of.  lol

It's alway struck me that there's a persistent gap in the character market. I'm buggered as to why nobody has  made a 'Not Time Team' given the show's longevity, popularity, proximity to history and thus interest to gamers and of course the very recognisable characters. Who wouldn't fancy a miniture Phil weilding a trowel or a geophysics cart to trundle along?

I suspect Tont Robinson would be quite chuffed to be represented in miniature, although I suspect there's already a Baldrick figure out there.

several - the Assault Group and Flags of War both do Elizabethan ones... I'm sure Rogue Miniatures (or whoever has them now) did a Baldrick from the first series.

Don't think I've seen a Regency one, nor a WW1 one, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was one (it's not a period I've searched in)...

"Party on, Alister, party on, Garth."

That's what this says to me. He looks neat though.
