Welcome back Billy-Ray. I’m sure you’re missing Kelly-Ann but I see in the meantime you’ve managed to hook up with a couple of interesting new lady friends.

I foresee sparks flying in all directions.

Thank you gentlemen. I blame it on sir's Doug and CapnJim who have shown interest in the little "Trailer trash Love Story" I have cooked up  lol.

There is a scenario in the book called "Recruitment " (or something to that effect), where you roll to see how many survivors and what Tier they are. I decided to spin this tale around that mission. Usually you get 4 survivors of some mix so I just decided to go with that and I diced to see what skills they gave, except for Gloria who I have decided will have Enter and Medicine and Damon will have Break (he is always happy with a big sledgehammer in his hands) to give me further options to gain access to stuff.

Shivani becomes very important. She has Scavenge 3 so will reveal 3 Resource Tokens per Resource marker she investigates. Anyone else will only reveal 1. I need someone else with Scavenge!

With so many (potential) survivors, the next building project will have to be a Garden to feed them! And extra beds...
The most important thing in the hobby is that you're having FUN! Doesn't matter if you win or lose.

The campaign grows...! You are doing a great job weaving the story around the scenarios.  :)

Thanks Mike!

Well, technically I have just gotten the campaign started. I will have to paint up the original Shivani mini that now finally finally arrived. Probably will do that Monday if I get the chance.

Having found a Riot Shield after the first game, which is an incredibly useful piece of equipment for my Hero Tier 4, Obie, in the campaign, I decided to do something about that on the model.

I simply cut a piece of plastic from a grape container to size and printed off the text POLICE in a reasonably small font, cut that out and glued it on the plastic. And only held in place with blu tack, so I can easily swap out equipment if and when that is needed. Simple but works for me  :).

Made some very simple Fog Zombie markers. Cut plastic glasses of the correct size,  sprayed them grey and took out the bottom bit. Now I actually can place a zombie inside when fighting!

Normal Heroic 28mm figure as size comparison.

Another possibility would be to cut clear transparency paper in the appropriate diameter. You can glue the fog zombie in the center (or use magnets, or whatever). Then, all along the perimeter of the paper, take cotton balls tugged into wisps of smoke. That way, you can see the figs, and the perimeter defines the line of sight.

Cheers for the idea Mike! The idea was sound, but the (not then) obvious drawback was, when I had to move a Fog Zombie indoors, the cup wouldn't fit  lol. Maybe I'll do this instead, and blu tack is my go-to, nice and simple.

I love the ingenuity on how you put these games together. It's old school and inspired.
Cheers!

Very kind words Mr White! I want to experience a continuing story in my games and hope some people enjoy reading my modest offerings . In truth, if I may be so bold, I'm probably a better storyteller than painter but all comments are very much appreciated and encourage me to do better :) .

Legionnaire.
