Vagabond back on page three of this thread made mention of a blog with this project on it - anyone know how to get to that blog?

Back rereading the thread at a much more reasonable hour of the day so indulging a bit more.

I am afraid to disappoint you all with the news that the game has yet to happen. It was a big project (which will come back to life at some point) and I got distracted by something else. I've forgotten what it was now! Vagabond keeps reminding me that I promised him a pirate game, so it will come about sometime and will duly be posted here.

Well, hear, hear man. We take that serious and honest promise of yours truly in good faith. Honestly, be assured that an entire navy will be chasing you around the globe on all seven seas for sure, if you won't keep it!
The admiralty prepares already by pulling the Merry Mermaid to the docks to equip her for a proper privateer mission. She will soon besiege the Exmouth bay to wait for the lousy attempt of your bunch of scurvy scoundrels to set sails for the Carribean...

Not to worry gentlemen of Much Piddling, Michi's ship and that mermaid are far too nicely - and realistically - painted to be a 'real' ship, photo shop or some other such nonsense, so sail safely away, no one paints actual figureheads like that!  But guns quietly at the ready just in case...

 :D

However, we shall await seeing the project come to fruition replete with rollicking game reports.  Just not too long, please.  We only get so long on the planet before we sail across to the great unknown.  ;). Hmm, I wonder what kind of piracy goes on over there?  Surely there must be games similar to yours or why bother going?! :o

Life is a road, somtimes smooth, with lovely even curves, the sort of bends you just swoop around, somestimes its a bumpy uneven surface the sort that make you wonder why you pay road tax, but occasionally it's a speed bump that you didn't see when you're going too fast.

This project was the smooth road until it hit the speed bump, the suspension broke and the wheels came off. The Mad Lord Butterfly has had so many beautiful projects since then and  I've enjoyed viewing them either here or first hand.

BUT

The pirate game was to be the pinnacle, the supreme peak in a dazzling range of projects, it was to be five islands placed strategically arround Snapcase hall, in the kitchen, the living room, the library the hall and I believe even the downstairs bathroom. Pirate ships galore would sail on wooden stands between the islands. It was a mad glorious vision that beguiled only to deceive.

I  painted about 30 pirates for this game and they still lust to board a ship and sail the seven Snapcase seas,  searching for buried treasure,  Spanish galleons to sink, Jamaca Inns to drink dry  but in vain will they lust for such glories.  Brigstock Jenkins together with the men and women he was to lead to glory have had to make do with small mean games in Vagabond Manor.  They gaze balefully at me when I let them out of stowage, they were promised so much and received so little.

However.....mustn't grumble. :D

Clearly, but you are failing to observe that this truth indicates that she is not, in fact, painted, but, rather, is a real mermaid...

Exactly, why else would men maroon themselves at sea away from women, without some kind of incentive  ;) :D lol

Hopefully your painted pirates will sail the seven Snapcase seas,  searching for buried treasure,  Spanish galleons to sink, Jamaca Inns to drink dry soon.  For all our sakes.
