Love the fields! Both they and the artillery look great. I think Fifteens is correct on the actual placement of plants. Here was my interpretation of how it may have looked:

Here's my blog post about it and what I used to create the pieces:

Been peeking at this thread since it started and all very lovely.  Hadn't looked in for a while and certainly lots of great new additions.  I really like the latest, the crop fields.  I have something similar to paint from the 3D print realm (mine are for 15 mm) but doesn't have the modular removability you've built into your fields which is a great idea.

On the three sisters, very nice.  Though I think they were all grown intermingled together rather than separate with the corn supporting the climbing beans and shading the pumpkins until they got going - and also started climbing, going to have to go back and check.  Doesn't matter for your model.  Looks great and versatile, can use for a variety of times and locales.

Thank you both for the kind words and information about how the three sisters were grown. I figured they would probably grow together to take advantage of the symbiotic nature of the relationship. However, if I'm honest, I'm going for utility rather than accuracy. At some point, I'll be creating some dry stone walls (or dry stane in Scotland) for more euro-centric boards. Having the flexibility to choose which crops to use was my main concern.

I love your corn fields, great work. Take a look to the webpage of Black Husar from Berlin, great stuff. Will fit to your stuff: https://blackhussarminiatures.de/

Cheers Dirk, I'll give them a look! Hope you're doing well.

Lovely job Andy  :-*

Cheers Richard; I'm sure these will provide more cover for advancing troops from rifles  ;D

Always enjoy browsing this thread.

Really, really like those crops!

Thank you kindly!

Cracking work Andy, you have quite the F&IW collection now. It looks fab-u-lous!

It's dwarfed by your collection.

I really like your fields!

Much appreciated! Overall they were fun to make; although drilling the holes for the crops was a bit thankless!

Late last year, I finished some more miniatures, which I didn't get the chance to photograph properly.

First up is a trio of settlers/fieldhands from Foundry Miniatures. Despite the crudeness of the sculpts (particularly the women's dresses), I like them. They fit very well with the Galloping Major miniatures that I have.

Next up are some French, including a currently unnamed officer, who will be relinquishing Major Le Douche of his command and assuming command of the French Forces in the region.

Meat is back on the menu, well at least lamb. This trio of sheep are from Warlord Games; just quick paint job so I could get them on the table. Really useful miniatures which I'm sure will have a use in various genres.

He's a Galloping Major sculpt from Lance's range of French Regulars. I look forward to getting my hands on some more of the sculpts later in the year.

He's arrived with some reinforcements in the form of Compagnie de la Marine. Again, these are lovely sculpts from Galloping Major. I think there is one more pack of Compagnie in vestes, which I'll probably pick up at some point.

I'm not quite sure what's next for this project. I have some British artillery and more settlers/civilians to paint. However, I'm also working on a small Devilry Afoot project set in North America in the 18th Century, and I'm also returning to a fantasy project this year.

On Sunday, I played Muskets and Tomahawks. My fields got their first outing,, along with some snake fencing I commissioned from Oshiro. Unfortunately, the game resulted in a French defeat (I was playing the French). However, it successfully introduced two new people to the game.

I think it was a pleasure to make a game on this board. Looks like a professionell made it (except the snake fences from young padawan James  ;) lol ).
So, when will you build the fort for the rematch of the movie???

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I'm enjoying making my way through the project. Although it's been made completely clear with the continual losses that the French need reinforcements!

Haha, cheers, Dirk; I've got quite limited space, so as much as I'd love a fort, I'd need to think about the best way of storing it.
