Mack's Mechas (Gunpla mostly)
« on: 07 November 2020, 04:10:51 PM »
I decided I may as well post some photographs of my mecha projects as well while I'm on this forum. Here is a select few photos which I will categorise as best I can. Most are straight builds with a few painted or with touch ups added later.

Some of my Earth Federation units, both Ground and Space forces. Apart from the Blue Destiny Gundam 03, these are all standard mass produced units that were found through various series and wars in the UC timeline of Gundam.

I got back into building these little guys again and tackled one of the newer kits; HGAC Gundam Heavyarms. Built straight out of the box with some paint added to highlight details, but otherwise it's a clean build.

About time I returned! I figured I'd share a kit I built earlier this year; Solari's Zaku 2 from the Netflix series "Requiem for vengeance." I wanted this kit to reflect its onscreen appearance, being weathered and beat to hell. It might have only lasted an episode, but I still love the mech itself.

I've also built an army of the best grunt in Gundam Wing: the Leo. Created using armour best described as explodium, these things appeared in their hundreds throughout the series. I bought a weapon set to expand the kits further, resulting in a menagerie of equipped Leos.

Leo dober gun type (middle left standing)
Leo bazooka trooper (front left kneeling)
Leo space type (back left on stand)
Leo commander type (centre with gun shoulders)
Leo patrol type (front centre with short pistol)
Leo flight type (back right on stand)
Leo beam cannon (middle right standing)
Leo sniper type (front right kneeling)

Very cool! I have a soft spot for grunt mechs, they never get enough respect - everyone wants to be an ace, but someone has to do the routine work that keeps a war running…

Nice Chris. Did you ever get the Osprey rule book for playing with those?

I didn't, no. I remember playing a couple of them in a game at the school club, but haven't used them for one since.
