Figure ID Help
« on: 02 June 2025, 05:24:38 PM »
Can anyone identify the manufacturer of the Brits shown in the photos.  I have exhausted all the companies I can think off but can't find a match. Thanks

Pretty sure these are the early sculpts Paul Hicks did for Bolt Action Miniatures?

Could be as I did have quite a bit of the early stuff but thought it was mainly germans and vehicles I had

lol, that is being kind to them.

With dreadful proportions like that I would have Chiltern or Britannia at the top of my list of suspects.

They're definitely the early Paul Hicks sculpts for Bolt Action miniatures, I have a platoons worth that I bought at Partizan in 08. They're not that bad painted up, just not a patch on his stuff nowadays.

I thought it was just the angle that made them look a bit off.

Good Lord...  :o

Well I suppose everyone had to start somewhere, even the sculpting god that is Paul Hicks.

It's the sculpting career-path equivalent of Field Marshal Slim - this is Paul Hicks' Battle of Gallabat.

Wait till you see the work he did for the WWI range by Battle Honours some 20 years ago.
