(KIckstarter) Crooked Dice Tavern and Townsfolk sets

These miniatures were part of the Non-Player Characters (NPCs) miniature ranges previously produced by Otherworld Miniatures. We would now like to bring these retro classics back to the gaming and miniature collecting community. In addition there a number of new sculpts by Paul Hicks included for good measure!

Runs to September 9, with delivery in October (so basically just a fancy pre-order :))

I've backed it for the 7 figures.

Is the kickstater  really necessary? Unless crooked towers are strapped for cash, but what do I know.

What happened to folk just releasing stuff because they believed in the product?

from what I read, there are some new new figures by Mr Hicks to complement the existing ex-Otherworld minis.

I know the hermit at least is already available from the main CD store, so have a look and if what you fancy is available you can just order it.

My understanding is that the Hicksy sculpts are old Westfalia figures being re-released in metal rather than the original resin.

Well, I didn’t expect to see my name in lights today  lol

I created the concept art for Otherworld’s crowd funder around 10 years ago! And here we are - I’m a stretch goal! lol

My sentiments exactly. I have backed one Kickstarter in my time and was unimpressed with the figures when they arrived. I think Kickstarters for everything have gone overboard. Hell, they had a kickstarter for a convention here a couple years back...! Ridiculous...oh, and you darn kids get off my lawn....!!  lol  lol

"Kickstarter is the quickest way to deliver more products than if we used our traditional release schedule."

Seem straightforward enough to me.

More importantly, congrats to Earther! Only ten years! :D

Yeah - Don’t have that kind of cash just lying around. Not after what I spend on hookers and gin.

It’s around forty figures. So that’s a fair chunk of change to put those into production. Simply we use crowdfunding to help us achieve that. Folks get those figs at a discount if they support the campaign, but also allow us to get them into retail quicker to those folks that don’t.

If kickstarter ain’t for you then fair enough, but please think don’t that crowdfunding equates to any lack of passion for the range. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Hookers and gin, ha ha, classy.

I understand, I really like your stuff, I guess I look and the bredth of you catalogue and and forget that many mini companies are not exactly massively profitable concerns, much more a labour of love.

Keep on keeping in Karl.
