Sorry I have not posted in a very long time, I have still been painting just not updating social media (Instagram - @AH_3DHOBBY and Facebook) and here. I can now say that all (less one that failed to print due to design errors) have been printed and painted.
I will post an update of the new buildings later this week so people can see in the interiors etc.
Recently purchased the new Bolt Action rules so thought the best way to play test the village was a Street Fighting game with the new rules.
Villers-Bocage AARVillers-Bocage was a quiet little town, set in the calvados country side. Surrounded by farm land and narrow country roads leading to several bigger cities. The local people left the village a few days ago in fear of the near by German troops.
It was early morning, the sun was rising and the morning mist was still present in the fields. The German troops that had harboured up not far from the town could where waking up and starting to make breakfast and prepare there tanks and weapons for the days movements.
"ACHTUNG, ACHTUNG" was quickly heard around the harbour location. The sentry had spotted British troops advancing through Villers-Bocage. The German commanders quickly gathered and discussed the battle plan. The plan was the tanks to hit quickly trying to halt the advance and the infantry are to support when they reach the town.
Several German tanks rolled out hitting the advancing British troops, taking them by surprise and knocking out several tanks and armoured vehicles. The British quickly gathered themselves and managed to knock out a couple of the Germany tanks.
By the time the infantry managed to get into the fight the carnage from the fierce tank fighting had went quiet and it was just the smoking wreckage from both sides left behind.
The German Squad leader wasted no time on moving his troops quickly into the village and started clearing the buildings.

Using the smoke from the tanks as cover the German troops tried to cross the road.

At the same time, the British troops moved up, they where there to not only clear the village but check for tank crew survivors.

It was not long before both infantry units met.
While clearing the narrow streets three British troops heard some noise coming from a building, with a crack of a single shot, the round hitting the wall right beside the British troops, one soldier hits the ground and returns fire, another starts asking if anyone seen where the round had come from, "BUILDING DIRECTLY IN FRONT, BOTTOM FLOOR WINDOW" was shouted out by the soldier returning fire.
A second round was fired, just missing the soldier on the deck firing, two British soldiers move up to the window while the third surprises it. With a nod, one soldier preps the grenade, as he was unexperienced and young he fumbled with the grenade. The second grabs the grenade from the soldier, pulls the pins out and shouts "GRENADE" as he posts it through the small window. With an explosion and a few rounds fired in to make sure the German was dead.

Thinking he now has to prove himself, the young soldier who fumbled with the grenade moves to the corner of the building, sees a German soldier in the bottom floor of the shop, takes aim slowly squeezes the trigger, then feels a sharp pain in his chest. Another German soldier was already watching and waiting for someone to appear from this corner after hearing the grenade go off.

In another part of the town, with the assistance of a couple other soldiers, the marksman gained access to the roof of the hotel where he could cover the advance through the town.

The Germans could hear the echo of rifle fire, the screaming of commands in both English and German at this point. A single crack of a rifle, what was a dark room lights up and then dulls back down as the British marksman fires and misses his target crossing the road through the smoke. "TOP FLOOR WINDOW OF HOTEL" is shouted by the German soldier who had cleared the corner building and was now watching down the street, at the point of hearing this several German troops open fired at the window. Some missed but some managed to get rounds in the room.

The room remained dark after that.
Some of the German troops not in contact, where struggling to clear several buildings. Slowly moving through the rear gardens to keep out of sight of the British and to try and gain access to buildings.

After hearing some noises coming from a building, The commander and three German soldiers went to clear the it. The door creaked as it was opened, expecting to be met by a British soldier they found all the doors where closed, but could still hear some noises up stairs. Clearing each room on the ground floor then heading upstairs to clear the last three rooms. As the door to the last room as opened he could see movement in a pile of clothes in the corner, he fired a round into it and several rats scuttled around the floor. The British on the opposite side of the street seen and heard this and opened fired into the room hitting the German soldier.

After several hours of intense fighting, the British realised that they could not win this fight and started to withdraw.
It was not until the British where back at there regroup location that they noticed the commander and 6 other soldiers had fallen in the skirmish.
The German troops thought about chasing the withdrawing British troops but decided to clear and retrieve there five dead soldiers.
No tank crew from either side survived.
