Scratch that up to cost and availability of tech.

I can WhatsApp my friends, or write them a letter: Same information transfer, but the one requires a pen, some paper and a stamp, the other hundreds of euros/pounds/dollars worth of phone and data.

At least; that's how you could explain that away in-universe. But I recognise the discrepancy there...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

it could just refer to the bureaucracy of Wey-Yu, Romulus showed how bogged down by red tape it was, but it did stick out a bit to me...

Well - I thoroughly enjoyed that, but bloody annoyed it didn't wrap anything up...

When will US tv shows stop trying for season after season just to get cancelled. And only one of the main cast is actually dead and not going to show up for season 2 (unless they backed him up).

I honestly thought it was a bit 'meh'. The most enjoyable episode was the one with the crew of the Maginot getting slowly butchered  lol

I shall no doubt watch season 2 though.

Agree and agree.  It wasn't awful, but everything always felt unfinished, and not in a good cliff hangar sort of way, but in an unsatisfying way.  The intense music at the end of each episode before they cut to credits feels weird, too.  It feels like they're trying to say, "yeah, this is bad ass!" and I just don't feel it.  Meh.

I agree about the Maginot, episode 5 was great - the weird navigator needed a better end though.

I wonder how they will come to a "relistic" end, that fits to the whole story. after 6 Episodes I think it run a bit out of the line...

If they really want to fit this within the timeline of the first few films, the surviving xenomorphs should all die, promping Wayland Yutani to go out and find more. Also, the technology to transfer human minds into synth bodies will most likely also be lost, considering we never see or hear of the tech afterwards.

But what I'm really interested in, is what becomes of the eye-monster. That one is the single most interesting creature in the entire series!

I've enjoyed it though the ending was a disappointment: was like it stopped one episode too soon.

Octo-eye going on a zombie-esque saunter across Earth raises intriguing possibilities (mostly scary, as it doesn't have character as yet).

Where do the 'kids' go from here? To be taken by the WY assault team? To escape the island and go on their own wanders and adventures around the universes? Maybe the writers don't yet know?!  Ending the series as it did, without even a hint of future direction, just chitty-chatty with a bunch of prisoners, was a bit meh.

But I expect I'll watch series 2, I'm just a bit disappointed that it could have been on a par with say Andor/Rogue one but wasn't.

Ends on a “cliffhanger”

Loved the season - agreed - ONE more episode?!?
