LF manufacturer of Djiinis
« on: 27 April 2010, 04:04:10 PM »
Hi all,

For a project involving 1001 nights and the likes, I`m looking for a manufacturer that produces typical `arab` things of that era.  Got BTD already for flying carpet men, now for the infantry...

Djinn`s, arab style ghosts, fellos comming out of lamps... in scale 28 / 32mm heroic `infantry bloke` style

Anyone any suggestions?

Steve Barber has some figures, including a djinn coming out of a lamp and a market set, but I suspect they are 25 rather than 28mm.

Thats no problem, models can be raised with some tinkering on bases, and I can`t find any definite proof of how big a djinn is in real life  ;)

Thanks for the link

I'm sure I've seen all manner of Djinn and a sinbad on flying carpet at Ral Partha's site - http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/
There's loads of goodies in the fantasy section.

Mega miniatures makes a range.

Reaper has some useful miniatures: treasures, djinns, heroes...

Alkemy makes some beautiful arab dressed catmen.

Helldorado has one of his factions as arabs, with an astounding djinn, and heroes.

And Otherwold makes a very nice djinn coming out of a lamp.

Mega miniatures makes a range.

These are rereleases of the models Joseph Ochmann sculpted for Metal Magic.  Old (and so on the small side), but much nicer than the stuff Mega commissions itself.
Back from the dead, almost.

I ordered 10 of em for a starter, considering they are 50mm and small, they should fit in quit well

Hi,
Mirliton has put back on sale the miniature of one of the old Grenadier's Djinn-Efreti, under the name Efreti.
See the section "Fantasy 2528mm" on the Mirliton site - page "Creatures".
http://www.mirliton.it/
This is the picture of this miniature on the Mirliton site:

For our Saracens army I has purchased one and it is very fine.
Bye

Can highly reccommend the Hell Dorado Saracen range for Arabic warriors and a lovely Djinn.

Problem is that with the Hell Dorado knackers, it would cost me an arm and a leg to build a whole army though (as in, around 70 troopers and speciality units).
