New Back of Beyond vehicles
« on: 17 March 2007, 05:53:58 AM »
Hello,

Well, our First vehicle, specially made for the Back of Beyond games is making it's debut at Cold Wars, here in the U.S.  I'm speaking of course of the Sutton Skunk!

This was a one off Mortar carrier, converted from a holt tractor.  Armor plating was added, and room for four BAR guns and two Stokes Mortars was made in the back.

For you scratch builders out there, you can add armor plates to the back with some plastic sheet, and make yourself a cheaper version of the Whippet tank!

We'll eventually make the tracks available as a seperate set for those that wish to convert existing diecast models to halftracks, etc.  A crewman will also be following shortly.

For now, the model can be seen on our gallery page, and will be in our webstore by the start of April:

The Model T ford, both the scout car and desert patrol car are is casting.  Sample images should be up in two weeks, and the models will be available along with the Sutton.

Next release will be the RCW armored Model T pickup, followed by...

well, I'm currentlt working on a 1/56 scale armored train.  Engine and 4 different cars.  Bank on a summer release for that and the Austins.

Thanks for looking!  If you have any ideas for new vehicles, I'm open to suggestions!

1/56 Sutton vehicle now available!

Just a quick not that we received the first shipment of the Sutton models!  So they are now available from our online store.

I also have the first castings of the two types of model T's and will post pics tonight.  The resin model T's are one piece castings...so all you need to do is glue in the headlights, springs and wheels.  I hope to have the metal parts for the T's in stock in about a week.

We have crews for all the above in progress as well (and the armored model t is being cast) so look for another release of some adventuring mayhem fairly soon.

Best

Thanks for the update Brent. What information have you on hand about the crew for the T Fords? Are they mixed cork and slouch hat crew?

God Bless

Model T crews

Mr. Mike Owen of Artizan is doing the model T crews.  For now I know we will have RCW drivers and some WW1 drivers/crew for Palestine.

Most likely one driver also for BoB.

Just a quick note, that these are now in stock!  Been a long wait...

We also have stock of the Sutton Tractors which give your BoB Armies a little extra support.

Crews for the model T's and Sutton should follow as a seperate accessory kit in a few weeks.

Best,
Brent

Cute model T's!
What will the crews look like?
Will you do one with British tropical helmet?

Mike Owen is sculpting the crews....we do have several crews requested, in various helmets, hats, shorts and differing attire.

First crews though will be appropriate for Palestine and the Russian Civil War.  If the Models T's prove popular, we'll probably look into some more Pulp style drivers and characters.

I'll post photos, as soon as I get some of the greens,

Regards,
Brent
