I love the foundry models, but I miss the napoleonic feeling in them. They look too generic for me.
I want stolen/captured equipment, ragged unforms and of course bayonets...

I am sorry to disapoint you, but the figures will be highly incorrect uniformswise. The uniforms are much too late. Its a projects to get rid of some spare plastic and fun. So its perhaps more pulp than napoleonic...

It's called Queimada (1969). It's actually a fictionalised version, set in an imagined Portuguese colony in the 1850s. Very loosely inspired by Haitian events. Never seen it, but meant to be quite good.

In the new issue of Wargames Illustrated there's an advert for the Trent Miniatures 28mm Later French Revolutionary Wars range, which has British Caribbean army officers, loyal black rangers (very nice looking sculpts those), and revolting slaves. Next releases promised are more black rangers and black chasseurs.

Figs distributed by North Star in Europe, although these particular figures don't seem to have made it on to their website yet. But I'm finding them very tempting!

They are some lovely conversions and and interestign campaign to do. How about using some of the Victrix early French plastics too ? Just got some Trent miniatures from North Star, some of their ragged French with the drooping red plumes which i've been after for years, smashing figures so look forward to their Carribean stuff being released.

Any pics? There's nothing on the North Star site. I just looked though - the Caribbean stuff is now listed (no pics of those either - grr!), but not available until mid-Feb. They're so cheap though, a pack of eight 28mm for £8!

I saw a few pics in the latest Wargames Illustrated. Native troops in red jackets, blue trousers and round hats and four British Officers in similar although a couple were painted in different colour coats but looked very usefull figures for other campaigns of that time too. Looked for the Carribean stuff on Northstar site the other day but they were'nt listed at the time just the Trent Revolutionary figures. Hoping this range is extended with some more French command sets and maybe some Hussars.

Your conversions are excellent.

They do have a certain natural flow. The two parts seem a little small for each other, but that won't be noticable once painted. It might be worth investing in some greenstuff so that you can make the joints more natural. I love the artillery crew, but I'd make the swab a little bigger with green.

I'd love to hit on this setting in a few of my more 'out of the way' flintloque games. Perhaps I could use Kallistra Pygmies with redcoats and shakos sculpted on a few of them...

That's a good idea if I ever had one! I have a few of those sitting around.
