skeletal ship wheels (now with kudos to Moonlight)
« on: 12 February 2010, 05:10:36 AM »
Gentlemen and ladies,
I am in need of assistance. I recently converted some MegaBloks pirate ships to use for various piratey things, and 2 of these were the Flying Dutchman and the Dread Eye Pirate, both of which I was going to fit with the skeletal wheel from Moonlight Miniatures - but their website lists them as unavailable.

Any suggestions where I could get a skeletal or otherwise undead-y ship's wheel?

(thread listed for reference purposes...)

Might be easy/fun to make your own out of a couple of skeletons and other bits?

The old plastic GW Undead Chariot had bone wheels which would probably work. You could stick on some skeleton fists for handles.

I'd have to take apart one of my old chariots to do that, but that is indeed an idea...

You know what, I have got to throw this out there.

I emailed Moonlight Minis to ask why the ship wheels were not available - and not only did he cast some just so I could order them, he recognized me as my handle, because I referred to what I was using the wheels for.

Now THAT is customer service. Jolly good show!

When I was ordering Moonlight Minis, I really enjoyed the customer service.  I also enjoyed the emails from the owner.  Without a doubt Moonlight Minis is a great company run by a great guy.
