Zulus for forthcoming big game
« on: 28 January 2010, 09:25:39 PM »
This saturday at Evesham Wargames Club we are staging an all dayer with a WW2 Flames of War tournament and a refight of the battle of Nyezane in 28mm.

I have been steadily painting over the last month and here is my contribution to the game;

Gardner Gun

7lb Cannon

Wagons

Cart and Pack Mules

uThulwana

uVe

Some Spares

Musket and Rifles armed

Natal Mounted Contingent

I will post up a link to the game photos over the weekend.

Paul

ah there will be a washing of the spears - the great things about brits against zulus is you have to ask who were the raging imperialists - still like the figures

I love the painting.

Interesting choice of battle.

Better stop thinking about it now.  SUDAN, and nothing else till I finish my entire project!

(Every time I see great Zulu stuff, I think about all the styrofoam, packs of unpainted 10mm cavalry (and dismounted versions), and my drafts of converting Gutshot to Zulu Wars for a spectaular "Hlobane"  game that will take place in my lifetime!  Oh yes, it will.   :))

The Zulu's look like a mix of Wargames Factory and Wargames Foundry, the brits a mix of Empress and a few Perry? Nice work by the way.

This is a couple-of-month-old thread, mate. He never did post a Nyezane report that weekend. You may have to keep waiting.

He did however post this, if you're interested:
