Seeking Wagon Wheels.....
« on: 05 May 2010, 01:22:12 AM »
....and not the chocolate variety.

I am trying to find some wooden looking Wagon wheels in 28mm Scale for some baggage carts.  I don't mind if they are solid or spoked or a mixture and Ideally am looking for about 40 of them.  I thought Games Workshop used to make plastic wheels that you could buy separately but I cant seem to find them on their site.

Any other companies out there that sell wheels that anyone knows of?

Cheers all.

Look for someone who sells the Grandt Line Wagon Wheels in 1/48 scale - I have used those for wheels on carriages to make use of the extra barrels you get in the mortar/cannon kits from GW, and they work very well. I could probably take a pic if you want.

Victrix have just released some Napoleonic Artillery. 20 pounds is probably a bit much to pay just to get the 6(?) wheels and they might be a bit too skinny, I'm not sure, but you may have some use for all of the guns in the kit as well for something.

The Assault Group - otherwise known as TAG - does some spoked wheel sets.  I haven't seen them in the lead but I have some of thier mules (and they were nicely cast with prompt service). Try here, though there might be more on other pages:

Try to avoid ordering from Grandt Line directly. I'm still waiting for two 2008 orders from them. :(

it is 12 wheels  (limbers)
and 12 cannon
which can be easily converted to ship cannon
not to mention the 15 crew

I knew there were limbers. Why I didn't add it up properly, I don't know! Is a rather tempting box, the cannon would be good for building a new ship (my old one, which was very cool, got thrown out when we moved house) :(
