general question on Die Waffenkammer model quality
« on: August 17, 2010, 09:00:21 PM »
hey all, haven't been around in a very long time now, I mostly used this place for WWII stuff but it died down round my area so I stopped posting, but with the coming release of Warlord Games 28mm plastic germans my interest has perked up again.

but on to the main point, after recently discovering the wargames command post I noticed this http://www.thewcp.co.uk/product.php?ItemID=2648 and decided "I need this" (mostly due to being a HUGE Jagdtiger fan), but I was wondering from a community who perhaps have more experience, what are the quality of the die waffenkammer range of models like?, is the moulding smooth and requires little work, or would I be expecting a day of cleaning and filling in air holes.

as a side question as well, has anyone ordered from the wargames command post?, just to make sure its reliable.

Hi,

The quality of Jeff's product is second to none in both resin and casting. As an added bonus the detail is excellent.

As a holder of a number of quality resin vehicles I'm more than pleased with Jeff's range of vehicles.

As a side note his mial order is very good.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Excellent quality and durability and a very practicall and easy assembling.
I have an objection about the resin guns but generally that didn't became an issue for most of the people.
As a downside, little expensive ...  :(
Give them a try, they worth it.

The Wargames Command Post is my favored source for JTFM Entreprises' stuff. About Jeff Trnka's models, I must confess that the quality is excellent :

Very good casting : very very few bubbles (sometimes underneath the hull)
Very detailed models
Very simple assembly of the main part : hull + tracks / turret + gun (For instance, the grab rails of the JS2 take time to glue, but it's not difficult)

I painted some IS2, ISU-152, I have built a M3 Scout car (not painted yet).
