Westwind R.A.T. British Para Walker

Just finished this little beastie to give the allies a little "Walker" support.
It's only armed with twin Vickers Machineguns but is ideal as a scout.
I've picked up a Warzone Hurricane Walker which will add a little extra firepower.

Just got to do some Paras to go with it.

Nice! I like that chipped look. And the khaki suits it far better than that red-brown of the "official" model does. :)

Btw, do those clear canopies come with the model?!?

Thanks, glad you like it. I was going to do R.A.F. markings on it but thought it looked better bare.

There isn't any glass in the canopy so I made some using the clear plastic packing from the miniature!!!

I had suspected that, but have never seen the "canopied" models (ie Jet Mecha and RAT) "in the blister". Excellent work, especially on the frontal piece.

I have to say, though, that it still should have some markings. Maybe some very small roundels on the shoulders and a spanking damn nice Union Jack on that gun shield to scare the jolly wits out of those cocky Germans, I say, old chum?

PM Very nice looking mode - very well done  :)  Chris - good suggestion about the flag an I'd also think a little Union Jack flag fluttering off the back of the walker would look cool too. 8)
Best wishes,
Helen

Thanks for the comments!

I originally had roundels on it but they looked a little odd for some reason. When i tried to blend them in with a bit of weathering they looked plain messy!
I might stick a Union Jack flag on the back to give it a little colour.

Nice. Very tempting to get one. Looking forward to see what you'll do with the warzone hurricane (where'd you find one in the end?).

Very nice PM. I love that model. Always thought it'd go good with the Cobalt 1 minis as it has that sorta feel to it. With a different pilot of course.

Thanks for the comments!

Todd: It wouldn't take a huge ammount of work to use it as a Sci-fi walker. It's already got that "vibe" to it!

Nice one Horace. :)  I am in awe of how you produce this stuff with such a quality finish so frequently. Your Weird War collection must be very impressive to see. How about a picture of the whole lot set up?
Cheers, Eugene.

Thanks AL!
I will try to rustle up a group photo of all my Weird War stuff so far by the weekend.
