Painting Artilleery pieces 1869-1885..?

Can anyone tell me would the gun barrels be painted the same as the carriages, I am interested in Turkish, Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian and Serbian field pieces of the above period.

As Russian artillery gun carriages and other artillery carts were painted in green. Artillery barrels (bronze and steel) are not stained and had a natural metal color.
