Ooh, tantalising. Especially that 446. 100-150 quid estimate, eh? Seems a lot, but would work out about three quid a photo if it went for the top end of that.

Fifty more like this. That would be grand. Thanks, Inkydave. Have to think about this...

Glad you like. i have resigned myself to not being able to afford all the goodies i see, but use some auction or retail sites as makeshift image libraries. this site rocks for colonial ww1 and darkest africa inspiration.

here are some examples :)

Be as silly as you like, if it means more pics like these.

Love that Force Publique band. I always wanted a Force Publique band in 28mm. All I have is a drummer and a bugler at the minute. Quite some variation of shades in their blouses, though they all appear to be blue rather than khaki, going by the pocketless design. The fellow at the front has a pristine dark one, the rest are somewhat... different (sorry, I'm off on a button-counting tangent again).  lol

Some more west Africans who take pride in not dressing the same as the next man.
pic 3 is the same poor unsuspecting chaps the day before the French arrive!!!
and pic 4? I'm sure someone makes an 1918 Khartoum camel corps tug-o-war team in 28mm. :o
