FoF and colonials
« on: 10 October 2011, 06:28:53 AM »
Hi

I was wondering if anyone has tried to adapt Force on Force ruleset to game Colonials, and in that case if the rules adapted well, or too much tweaking was necessary.

Best regards

I have thought about this recently.

The (optimum) ranges of weapons may need tweaking? I can't think of anything else that would need to be changed.

It's a good set of rules... when I receive my copy, I'll be a happy man.

However, why not grab a copy of the great Colonial rules already available? Triumph and Tragedy, for instance.

I did start looking at this ,My colonial period is the zulu war and it wouldnt work well with this type of conflict ,but would work when both sides had firearms or even bows etc and as already stated patrols and skirmish games would be best. Even though I love all of the AA/FOF rule sets I use Triumph and Tragedy for my zulu games
