the good the bad and the weird

Guess you guys know this movie (it was floating around this forum some time ago)

I just watched it yesterday (even my wife liked it!  :o)
and I thought there is a nice resource for wargame ideas/scenarios
anyhow: any ideas for suitable miniatures?
The Japanese army is easy, but what about the main characters...There a plenty to pick from, just wondered if anyone had a go at modelling/painting them?
Wanna share your minis or ideas?

Great film.  I'm sure they lifted one of my story lines from here though....

All limitations are self imposed.  Work hard and dream big.

The movie was a good popcorn feature.  My wife even liked it.  Just enough '20's '30's silliness to keep going.  Set in Manchuria in no specific year although I'd say you'd be well served to call it 1930.

Ever since I saw this movie, I've had this urge to start building Ghost Market terrain to skirmish in. Lots of blind alleys, awnings to jump from/fall through, that sort of thing. So far, I'm resisting... there is a page of sketches and notes in my notebook, though, and every time I flip past that page the urge reappears...

There's the bay where so-called "pirates" hang out, see...  ;)

Or you could be one of the lucky people to still have an awesome independant DVD-rental store nearby, which I am.

Well worth it, whatever method you use.

I had to delete the last post. Sorry guys, no links to copyright piratery. This is a german forum and we don't want to get trouble. German law allows privates to fine webside users who break laws, and there are several professionals roaming the internet just for an occasion to make some easy money.

I got my copy from Asda for a few quid although since I've seen it at Sainsburys too. If you're in the UK you shouldn't struggle don't know about elsewhere.
A great movie though, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I've seen about half of it at the local Hobby shop--Gary usually has a DVD going.  It was fun and fairly fast-paced.
