Undead Figures
« on: 31 October 2011, 08:20:30 PM »
My as good as finished ... Undead guardians...

I'll add some more fluff but I was thinking they can be guards of...

EURYNOMUS (Eurynomos) An underworld Daemon who stripped the flesh from the corpses of the dead.

I figured a range of personal Guards and some minions...

And minions like...THE ORNITHES STYMPHALIDES (or Stymphalian Birds) were a flock of man-eating birds.

**
My Blood Dawn Undead Guards...

I'll add some more fluff latter...

And Blood Moon Undead Guards...

I have thinned the halberds down and sharpened up the edges on these.

Comments and feedback welcome...

BTW: The figures have gone off to the mold makers...I'll post the final images when they come back...

Bird great, mummified cav interesting but the weapons let them down a lot. Actually, your hand weapons have no sharp edge and all look a little too oversized and unfinished. If the armour's ornate then so will the weapons be. Also on the bow, is that open mouthed GW skulls I see? Need to mind that re: casting and IP.

What's next?

Thanks for the quick comments I have already smoothed down and put an edge on the blades of the weapons, (just photographed them before hand). V. Good point about the ornate. (i'll keep it in mind next time)
But I actually went the other way and and when they were thinned I put a few battle marks on them. once I had thinned them down they didnt seem as oversized ;-)  .
As for the non sculpted bits the metal parts in them most are from a bits and bobs tray I had in the shed cogs from old watches etc. I tend to see something like a pin or a nail and I see a lance or a spear, the sculls are sculpted in procreate not plastic, - i've painted my fair share of sculls over the years, I did baby oil the figure a little for the photo ;-)

That is a unique take on the Living Impaired Lads. I like what you've done with the armor, AND the Vultures are OUTSTANDING!

Very nice, I thought the same as the Commander, but glad to hear you've sorted that. Plus I can only say the vultures/carrion birds are rather good! You say they've gone to the mould makers, does that mean they'll be available commerically?

Yup looked a little kung fu oversized to say the least. Stick em up once you've got the masters back from the caster.
