Texas Range Wars (with pictures)
« on: 01 January 2008, 04:08:57 PM »
Happy New Year, All.

I was able to get a little bit done on my table over the break. I haven't received my Arnica Montana buildings yet, so the table looks a bit sparse. Also, the horses aren't primed and painted. They were a recent pickup and I put them in the pictures for fun.

I'm setting my games of LotOW in the north Texas/South Oklahoma region, which is why you see the reddish dirt. I have the Frontier and Alamo supplements and have been really inspired by them. The thought is that the table can double for Plains Wars and the Texas War for Independence. In the meantime, we'll be having range wars.

So, what I have done so far is the train, an outlaw hideout, and what looks to be enough hills to suit our needs.

Sorry about the low picture quality, but enjoy.

Very cool!  I'll be painting up my train in the near future and it's cool to see another example.  I was thinking of pretty mucht he same color scheme...so maybe I should try something else to shake it up a little bit (can't have my train looking exactly like yours :)).

I noticed you found the same horses that I used for my Davestown stuff.  A lot of people asked me where I got them, or what the company that made them is...but I threw my packaging away.  I got mine at Kmart (in Wisconsin), where did you get yours?
