Dwarf Gyrocopter in Warhammer Third Ed?
« on: June 04, 2012, 04:14:42 AM »
Can anyone point me in the right direction for rules on Dwarf Gyrocopters in 3rd Edition?

Does such a thing exist? Or was there only ever the one main rulebook (not including the Realm of Chaos add-ons)?

Or have I completely missed the entry on page xx?  lol

IIRC, rules were in White Dwarf and possibly in Warhammer Armies.

I had a look at an eBook version of Warhammer Armies but couldn't find it there (just a quick glance anyway, as I'm at work ;)). I'll have another look... I am also hoping to build a rather large dwarf "floating fortress"...

Isn't Warhammer on its 7th edition?  Third was back in 1980 or so.

Yes, that's true, and I have all the material for the latest edition. I just wanted to faff about with the older edition...

Just because there is a current edition of something doesn't make it the best edition. GW is real good at that. :-)

Seems that the rules were in issue 100 of White Dwarf: http://www.gamehobby.net/white_dwarf_magazine/white_dwarf_100.html

Would love a copy of this, I think it's the one with Michael Immig's (Admiral Benbow's) beasts of war on the cover.

WH is on its 8th Edition.

3rd Ed was 1988 I think (maybe late 1987), it was the edition where WHFB was tied together with the new 40k and WFRPS.

1st Ed wasn't even released in 1980, I don't think that came along until 1982.

2nd Ed is of course the best (that's where I started in 1986).

I am more enamored of 3rd edition, mostly because of the army lists.  Empire with norse alies and old world mercs.
