Latest mini WIP

Having recently got this excellent Victoria Haley Warmachine mini from our very own snow_base_Gaz (in 'undercoated' condition - a bit more than undercoated I feel, was nearly finished when it arrived!) -



- I did a few bits of touching up on the armour and cape-thing (thanks Gaz for making the colour-matching so easy!) and started work on the goggles, hair and face.



A bit more to do like 'dotting the eyes' (see what I did there?) and then it's the base to do... but I'm very pleased with how she's turning out, thanks I have to say to a very great degree to the work Gaz has already done.

108 views and no replies? There are, as far as I can see, 3 possible reasons:

1 - my painting is so awesome that no-one has any critique that they can possibly make to improve it;
2 - my painting is so crap that embarrassed silence is the only answer;
3 - my painting is so dull that everyone fell asleep before they could post.

Here's another WIP shot - I've been (unsuccessfully as it turns out) trying to improve the face...

OK, I'm going to give up the painting on this one, anything I do from here is likely to make it worse. She's a bit cross-eyed, but at least she has two of them which is an improvement...

Nice paint job, especially the face which is where I always fall down as trying to paint eyeballs is way beyond my current capabilities.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks, apparently it's beyond mine too. Most of my eyes make my figures look like pandas on heroin. I can sometimes get one OK. Rarely two. I'm stopping before this one gets any worse. So what if she's a bit cross-eyed... the photo is also about 8 times bigger than the mini!

Suppose I should post this elsewhere as it's no longer a 'WIP'...
