Looking for "Infected" not Zombies
« on: 21 May 2012, 03:50:48 PM »
All,
I'd love to find figures that look like something between the creatures in the latest "I Am Legend" and those from "Pandorum"  I really don't want Zombies in various states of decay. Any ideas?

Mantic Ghouls  ???

This.

Those figures match the I Am Legend/Pandorum not-zombies as closely as you could hope for I reckon, plus they are relatively cheap.

Thanks folks.  So it would seem that the Mantic Ghouls are my best bet.

Yeah I would say so. I use them as Fallout Feral Ghouls but would love to get some of Brother Vinnies Irradiated at some point to have some Roamers/Reavers/Glowing Ones.

Even they are for a fantasy game the heresy ghouls are dressed just in rags so they could be used as infected given that they are both crawling and walking. Give them a chance and hav a a look they are incredble sculpts with amazing detail.

I went with the Mantic Ghouls.  They seem to fit what I wanted.

West wind has some "rage zombies", which might be suitable
And otherwise the above mentioned gouls would also do the trick

Here are my West Wind rage zombies.   I think 'Rave Zombies' may be more accurate...   lol

Those are all the poses but you get 8 in the pack (three duplicate poses).

I'll mention MissMiniatures just to give you some more options, although they are a bit on the short side, more like 25mm:

MissMiniatures website seem to have disappeared though, so Ebay is probably your best bet here.
Having personal experience with both Mantic Ghouls and MissMiniatures, I'd recommend Mantic.

You could also use the ghouls from Castle Ravenloft. I've seen the minis being sold apart from the boardgame on Ebay.
