Some Work on Infinity PanOceania
« on: 11 October 2013, 10:27:56 AM »
The blog needed relief from all that heavy going WW2 stuff, so I decided to post some commission work done recently (more or less). Once again I had a blast painting models from the excellent Infinity range by Corvus Belli. These are from the Acontecimento sectorial army starter pack, a sub-faction of the PanOceania forces.
Colours and bases were done "on customer request" but I was allowed some variation on the scheme and a few free-hands.

Knight of Montesa

Akalis Sikh

Bagh Mari

Acontecimento Regulars

Nothing more to see on the blog, really, but if you fancy a look at other things going on there, here's a link – visitors (and subscribers) are always appreciated, of course. :)

Those are very nice indeed. Congrats on the bases too.

Have a tough time painting Infinity figs myself - never feel like I've done justice to the sculpts.

Not huge on the actual miniatures, but the paintjobs are incredible.  :-*

Cheers, guys! :)

It took me almost a year before I dared to paint another Infinity miniature after I had tried all kinds of "advanced" techniques on my first one. You're easily misled by the stellar work of Giráldez and his kind to believe that only top-class paintjobs are allowed on these models. The minis alone approximate the level of art, and you would think it needs an artist to put the colours in.
But, after all, it's just like a "colour by numbers" approach as the models themselves are that good. So I would encourage everyone to at least give it a try – you may be pleasantly surprised how even basic paintjobs can bring Infinity models easily to life.

Yes, I am a fan. Sorry, Elbows. :D

Don't get me wrong, there are some Infinity miniatures I really like - these are just not among them.  I love their neo-Japanese and the Arab-esque group etc.

Thanks, my Captain. :)
Elbows, okay, I can agree on that - the factions you mentioned there are my favourites, too. 8)
