Khurasan releases 15mm Nova Respublik DOE gunship

We are very pleased to release the formidable DOE Gunship for our Neo-Soviet range, Nova Respublik. This large, imposing 15mm scale kit is cast mostly is resin, but has some pewter parts as well, and it will make an impressive centrepiece for your Nova Respublik forces.



 
This feared VTOL gun platform, called the Jastreb ("Hawk") in its own military (DOE being the Federal Reporting Name), carries a virtual arsenal of weapons to engage soft or armored targets, and is itself so heavily armored that it is sometimes referred to as the "flying tank." A squadron of DOEs, rising suddenly from a hillside or plummeting from orbit, can destroy a heavy armored column in moments.



 
The DOE is large enough to carry passengers as well, and can be used to insert Spetsnaz (Nova Respublik special forces) behind enemy lines.



 
The kit is complex and has more pieces than your average wargaming piece, but fortunately, the quality of the casting is outstanding and relatively little clean-up is needed. In fact, it's mostly a simple build, but there are a few pointers on making some of the assembly steps simpler on our blog. It's possible to build it with the landing gear up or down, and the 'down gear' option is very simple and sturdy. If you prefer to have the gear up, you can make your own flight base, or use one that is available on the site.

I've got a 1/48 Mil Mi-24 and I'm thinking about converting it, but a 28mm version of the DOE would be great.

Hmm...pity that the OV-10 is so hard to find (I can only find the Testors one. There's a Ebay seller who stocks it, but he doesn't sell to Portugal). But if I mixed the wings of one with my Mil Mi-24...I would get a DOE

Quite a few on eBay at the moment. And i see em shipping "worldwide." Tell em if they ship "worldwide" that would include Portugal. if not, then they need to put in the other country restrictions. That is how eBay works.  :-)
