This paint job is is just amazing!  The light source "coming from" the floor in front of the model really makes the lighting dramatic and effective.

Just fantastic!

Cheers,

I like everything except the head/face/hair bit.  Replace that, and replace the all-too-pastel shades of typical Infinity stuff and it's a nice kit.

What's with the tumor on the base? Is that part of the kit or added on?

Definitely. I only nearly pissed my pants laughing when I first saw it.

Luckily it's easy to modify. The comical hair piece is a bit more problematic. Shoulder spikes are also a bit naff and the gun arm shield is as oversized as the gun. In short, it's close but not quite banana for this one. As per miniature design, can't fault the paintjob really.

I wonder when they'll finally acknowledge the need for larger bases instead of infecting their bases with those weird protuberances?

The painting is brilliant, but I feel sorry for the poor operator's pelvis...  :o

The poor operator sits in the torso - and his legs generally squeeze into that codpiece.

The head is a robot head - the operator is safe behind the armoured bit above the little arms.

http://studiogiraldez.blogspot.com/ is his blog, decidedly worth following. He does a lot of the official models for Infinity, Privateer Press and Dram Pod 9, as well as other commission work and it's always amazing. Usually posts the figures a few days before they are officially announced as releases as well.

As for the TAG, it's now my 3rd favorite after Scarface and the original Guijia. The hair and face bring it down in my opinion, but the tiny main gun brings it way up. I never get to use any of em mind you, but it never stops me from buying their fantastic figs and painting them.
