model help - Dwarf in robes?
« on: 19 January 2013, 04:20:18 PM »
So, I am building a themed army based off of White Knight's Renaissance-ish dwarves and the old Marauder dwarves that I am planning on painting in Spanish colors - they are my Conquistadwarves...

And since I will be using them in Fantasy, I was strongly considering making a Slayer unit that was made up of dwarves in robes to resemble Jesuit priests, but I really don't trust my greenstuff skills to pull off the conversions.  Anyone know of Dwraves in vaguely priestlike robes that would match up to these 28s?

Previous edition multipart night goblin robed bodies with weaponswaps and separate heads from my range?

Or use the previous edition multipart plastic dwarfs and cover the chainmail in greenstuff (or carve it off) to turn it into robes.

Probably too much hassle to convert these?

Cavalcade also do these:

But you probably knew that!

The old Vendel range has unarmoured dwarfs too, extending the "robes" should be simple.

That...that's brilliant.  Where are my older goblins!?  I still have heads left from my last order of your figures....

They were too big for proper goblins, so might work as ascetic dwarf bodies...

Actually, it seems to work - I just have to find some arms that will work as the goblin hands look ridiculous on thin dwarfs.  I am going to have to raid my local dwarf fanatic's stash.  I'll post pics when I get them more kitted out.
