Do not like those mold lines! Still haven't opened mine but hopefully tomorrow once I've taken the children off to school....off myself till Tuesday night

Unfortunately, my eyes can't see the darned mold lines on this material until after they get inked. 

 

On the normal gray plastic figs it won't be an issue.  I can see them.

I'm not super happy with the way this ink caught the details over this material, but am not sure what to do differently.  The paint didn't like the material either.  I know I don't use the best paints but it just didn't want to adhere to the glow plastic, even after a good wash with dish soap.

After you clean, wash and dry the models, give them a light even spray of Testors Dullcote. Leave them to dry overnight.

Then use your inks - but make them much runnier, and add a little acrylic matte medium too.

This will help the paint stick, flow into the crevices whilst leaving the raised parts fairly clear of paint, and also give you a better "fade" between the clear raised areas and the recess inked areas. The raised areas, being essentially clear if ink, will still glow as before.

This is because the light spray of Dullcote will provide "tooth" for the paint/ink to adhere to instead of just beading, and is essentially colourless priming.

I did use some acrylic matte medium to dilute the ink.   I'll try the DullCote idea on the rest.  Thanks.
