Nice report and pictures. It looks like my local gaming group is going to try our hands at SAGA. A lot of us have just bought the rules and a couple of us already have enough figures for armies of their own. I am trying to decide between a Welsh army and a Norman one.

Given the choice between Welsh and Normans (and having played them both) I would go for Normans. welsh live off hit and run tactics mainly by using their javelins. Problem is, if they are within Javelin range, their opponent will be within charge range on his next activation, unless you roll the right SAGA abilities in addition to the dice you need to perform your actions. And even then, a determined opponent can always activate twice. Normans are a straight forward aggressive force, which usually works fine in SAGA.
