Our group set aside the campaign for a night and set about to have an Western gunfight. What I originally thought would be a quick game or two with three or four friends turned into an eight player shoot that was a lot of fun.
We use the Gunfight! rules. I've always found these rules to be fun and have a Western movie quality. Sometimes closer to Blazing Saddles than Open Range or Tombstone but that's part of the fun. Everyone had seven level points of Gunfighter to spend. Only level three's could carry a rifle and you had to be level two to carry a shotgun. Everything else was pistols.
Sides were chosen and players gathered at opposite ends of town. Their only goal was to eliminate the other side.
Here are some pictures from the game:

The town. One of the roofs went missing and I had to improvise with some cardboard.

...and the fight commences.

These guys pictured themselves as a force for good.

Old Pete ran the Opium den and tried to dress appropriately. Pete ended up shooting one of his own guys in the back. Later in the day he would blame his poor aim on an accidental over indulgence of his own product.

C'mon boys, can't we stop for just a wee dram?

His choice of cover would shortly prove fatal.

The red markers are for fallen cowboys. This was one tight corner.

I thought you said just a wee dram?! We been here almost an hour!

In true Western Cinema Style the Hero turns and wanders off into the sunset.
Thanks for lookin'
