HELP! Need to make signs for interiors
« on: 26 April 2013, 03:07:23 AM »
I'm just now getting into the Old West and will be scratch building some interiors. I'd like to put posters and pics on the walls, but have no idea how to size them properly so they will be right for 28mm scale.  I have photoshop and MSPaint that I can use.  This is an example of one of the images I'd like to scale.

Any help would be appreciated.

First off I think we'd all love to steal some of your signs if you let us!  lol

Second, either trial and error (just scale and print some out) or do the math - measuring your pixels vs. inches, etc.  Maybe you take a few guesses...put several scaled versions on a single sheet of paper, print it out - and see what you think.  Then adjust and finalize.

Ann, in photoshop you need to resize the image , and use centimeters , or inches to resize to the size you need to fit on the sign area .

also check out the fonts post at the top of the board , and download old west fonts whihc you can also use in photoshop

Thank you so much for the help.  I saw the fonts a few days ago and already have the site bookmarked. I'm going to be using it a lot.
