FYI 1/200 Macross Veritechs on sale

The box of Gashapon models is $12  you get 12 models, 6 of which are the 1/200 scale valkyries from Macross in all three modes. (1 VF1J and what looks like a J or S in Stealth colors)

Useful for certain kick starters perhaps?  If not, still a good deal. Shipping is about $40, so best to pool your money or buy a lot of boxes.

They have several of these sets available - just a heads up for the buyers though, they're a bit closer to 1/250 --- they do not scale well at all with the Nichimo 1/200 scale kits.

*Actually the Veritechs scale fine to the battle-pods, but are out of scale with destroids etc...the Nichimo kits actually make the Veritechs/destroids a bit bigger than they really should be.

Loads of these are available under "1/200 Macross" on ebay as well - selling singles etc.

wow, on ebay these are going for $6 to $14 each?   A box of 4 means they are $2 each shipped...  pretty good deal.

Yeah HLJ doesn't always ship very fast - but some of their stuff is absolutely insanely priced.  I have about 6-7 of their Monster kits which I scored for $20 a piece.

There's a US seller with one box left for $40 shipped.  You get ten figs per box.  I got one of each variant (walker, gerwalk, fighter for each type of mecha) and one stealth walker.  The stealth colored guys are the "chase" figures, you get all three if you order from HLJ.

They aren't scaled to the Nichimo models, but they are VERY nicely done.
